(kjbatesjr@buckeye-express.com): |
| All of my life I have tried to be the teacher that she was. She taught me so much about working to achieve goals..being a role model for students. She was really and truly the best teacher I have ever known. Class of 1961 |

| Peter Mulcahy |
(peterprints@nc.rr.com): |
| Elaine gave me my first job as an English teacher at Medfield High back in 1966. A few years later she showed such confidence in me that she agreed not to retire and stay on an extra year to assist me if I was named the Head of the English Department which I was. In all the years since I have never met anyone like Elaine. I am sad but joyous that she will now join her beloved husband...they were such a wonderful couple. |

| The recent article in the Globe sparked many fond memories of Mrs. Pederzini and of Mr. P., the source of our corsages. I had Mrs P. for Latin and English and recall her fondly every time that I recognize the Latin root of a word. I also recall her as the organist at church. We thank her for her patience and her expectations of us. |

(carrbilljanet@comcast.net): |
My favorite teacher. She even managed to
put up with some senior boys calling her by
her first name on occasion. Not easy giving
out good marks... tough on young kids having
to earn it.
Thank-you Mrs. P.

| Mrs Pederzini was one of my first teachers when we moved to Medfield in 1959 - Home Room, Latin, and English. She was tough but fair and I learned so much from her. She even remembered me when we met at one of the reunions ten years ago. I wish we had been able to keep in touch. Class of 1962. |

| Judith Wright Dunklee |
(jwdunklee@aol.com): |
My sister (Jody) and I learned more from Mrs.Pederzini in the short year and a half we had her as our English teacher than from any other teacher, before or after her. To this day, whenever I see a quotation, I think of the many essays she had us write based upon a quote she had written on the board. She was an exceptional teacher; so very many of us were blessed to have had the opportunity to learn from her.

| While many of her former students speak fondly of Elaine's gifts as a teacher, I think her greatest contribution may have been the wonderful guidance she gave to so many young teachers..All of us who benefited from Elaine's quiet grace and subtle leadership owe her a great debt..Olive Potter, Julia Warburton, and Elaine were the heart and soul of MHS in my four years there..Her influence does not diminish with time |

| Frances Brown Rowan |
(fran80borderstreet@gmail.com): |
| Mrs. "P" as we all called her was the wind beneath my wings as I struggled my way through MHS and life. I was happy to be a part of her annual birthday celebrations for a few years and even gave her a ride home one year and made her listen to my Jerry Garcia tapes on the car radio. She in fact enjoyed it. I received a letter from her a few years ago telling me how proud she was of my accomplishments and coming from her who knew me in my wild and wooly years, well I felt honored. Her standards forced me to come to grips with life and all there was out there to learn. I became a teacher among other things, and relied on her tried and true techniques and methods. May she rest in peace. frannie brown class of "54 |

| Would like to know how many of us became teachers because of Mrs. P. I modelled a book on expository writing lessons plans for teachers after Mrs. P's examples, and long after I'd taught the students of former students I could call Mrs. P. with a question, and she had an answer at her fingertips. I'll miss her. sandy |
