Born in Framingham on May 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John Lorie and Helen E. (Backman) Smith. She was a former resident of Medfield. Mrs. Smith had performed for many years with professional dance troupes throughout the country. She was later employed with Keithley Instruments and Texas Instruments and had been active with the Agape Chapel in Raynham. Mrs. Smith was a longtime member of the Taunton Golden Agers and had enjoyed raising, training, and showing Pomeranian dogs. She loved listening to music and watching old movies. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Hebert of Pawtucket, RI, and several close friends, among them Evamae Dumoulin of Taunton. A graveside funeral service will be held at Vine Lake Cemetery, 625 Main Street (Rte. 109), Medfield, on Monday, June 8th at 2:30p.m. If desired, donations may be made in Ann’s memory to Friends of Animals, 777 Post Road #205, Darien, CT 06820. |
